Managing Director of Indigo PR, Bolaji Abimbola, has received a Special Recognition Award at the 2025 Annual Symposium of the Photojournalists Association of Nigeria (PJAN), held on Friday, 27th, 2026.
Abimbola, who also serves as Managing Director/CEO of Integrated Indigo Limited, brings over 18 years of experience in shaping Nigeria’s public relations landscape. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has earned several notable accolades, including PR Personality of the Year (2019), PR Practitioner of the Year (2020), and recognition on the prestigious PR Power List (2024).
The PJAN Annual Symposium is a flagship industry gathering that convenes key stakeholders, media professionals, and policymakers to examine emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the future of photojournalism in Nigeria.
This year’s theme, “Restoring Our Pride: The Role of Photojournalists in National Discourse,” was delivered by veteran journalist, Dare Babarinsa. The keynote address underscored the critical role photojournalists play in influencing national identity and shaping global perceptions of the country.
While presenting the award, PJAN Chairman, Princess Alaba Igbaroola, commended Abimbola for his “visionary leadership, transformative impact, and unwavering commitment to excellence.”
In his acceptance remarks, Abimbola expressed gratitude to the association and reaffirmed his dedication to advancing industry standards.
