Football fever reached new heights as leading telecommunications company, MTN Nigeria, hosted an electrifying watch party for the highly anticipated Premier League match between Arsenal and Manchester United. The event, held at The Bay Lounge, Lekki, Lagos on Sunday, March 9, brought together football enthusiasts, loyal MTN customers, and musical talents for an evening of intense football action, entertainment, and exciting giveaways.

Attendees were treated to an immersive experience, with giant screens capturing the thrilling play, live commentary, and interactive games that kept them engaged. The game, which ended in 1-1 draw between the two football giants, saw fans of both clubs cheering, engaging in spirited debates and celebrating highlights of the game, showcasing the unifying power of football.

The game itself delivered all the intensity expected from the historic rivalry. Manchester United took the lead in the 44th minute when Bruno Fernandes curled in a free kick, sending Red Devils fans into celebration. Arsenal, however, fought back in the second half, with Declan Rice latching onto a loose ball in the 74th minute to equalise. The closing stages of the match saw end-to-end action, with both teams pushing for a winner. Arsenal’s David Raya produced a crucial save to deny Alejandro Garnacho, while United’s André Onana was also called into action to keep out a late effort from Bukayo Saka. Ultimately, the match ended in a 1-1 draw, ensuring the race for a top four finish remains fiercely contested.
